From Village to City: Scaling Impact with WWF Indonesia
What began in Desa Air Naningan has grown into an urban movement for change. Through our collaboration with WWF Indonesia’s Plastic Smart Cities program, Recycling Village expanded its community based recycling model to Jakarta, empowering more women to transform low-value plastic waste into products with purpose.
This partnership marks an important milestone for RV. A proof that a grassroots initiative can scale responsibly, stay community-centered, and earn trust from global sustainability organisations. Together with WWF, we are showing that circular solutions can grow without losing their soul.

Empowering Women Through Purposeful Collaboration with Amartha
Recycling Village believes that impact grows stronger when values align. Through our collaboration with Amartha, we co-created a campaign that turns everyday merchandise into a platform for supporting women empowerment and sustainable livelihoods. Each product represents more than a giveaway. It carries a story of women artisans, circular production, and conscious choices.
This collaboration reflects how RV works with like minded brands to translate shared values into tangible impact. By combining design, sustainability, and purpose driven campaigns, we help partners engage their communities while directly supporting women at the grassroots level.

Turning Trash into Art: Recycling Village x Novo Amor Live in Jakarta
Creativity takes many forms. At Novo Amor’s live concert in Jakarta, Recycling Village explored a different expression of circular design through Whale of Hope, an immersive art installation created from reclaimed waste. Positioned as part of the concert experience, the installation invited audiences to reflect on waste, transformation, and the stories behind what we choose to discard.
Before the concert, RV hosted a hands-on workshop to make the installation with selected Novo Amor fans, inviting them to take part and learn how waste can be reimagined into meaningful forms. This collaboration reflects how RV’s work extends beyond products. Into spaces where art, community, and sustainability meet. From the hands that create, to the moments people experience together.

Weaving Plastic into Hope: Recycling Village x Yayasan BUMN
Recycling Village continues to expand how plastic waste can be reimagined through design and craftsmanship. Through the Pikiran Terbaik Negeri program by Yayasan BUMN, RV explored a new approach to upcycling by integrating reclaimed plastic waste with traditional weaving techniques.
Working closely with local women of Desa Air Naningan, RV conducted hands-on experimentation to transform plastic into woven artworks that carry strong cultural identity. With support from Yayasan BUMN, this initiative represents trust in RV’s commitment to innovation. Bridging sustainability, local heritage, and community empowerment through new forms of circular creation.
